Cyber Bully Video...

Some similarities between the movie and what we talked about in class was that the problem was online and it was on a social network. Also the problem caused the girl to feel upset and insecure.Some differences were when she at the end stood back up to the bully.In real life that most likely would not happen. Also in school the bully doesn't really go up to your face everyday and say stuff directly to your face. This case was very similar to some of the cases we talked about in class. In all the cases we talked about and this case there was a cyber bully who went after another kid and then finally got to the point where the kid being bullied couldn't take it anymore and wanted to commit suicide. 

Music Podcast!

This podcast was mainly about how different people learn about music or comprehend it better than others. I liked learning about something this way because instead of having to read text you can just listen to it and know what they're talking about and then if you have to search up something for a paper or whatever it may be its easier to go back on. I think that people use this instead of written text because its much faster and a lot easier to do. So it really saves you time.I would have to say that this is mainly facts but some i would think is opinion based.

Blabberize and Voki!

To compare and contrast the 2 websites that we used i would say the easiest one to use was Voki. It was easier because unlike Blabberize you didnt have to position the mouth to where it was perfect. You just said what you wanted to say and it would do it for you.So with saying that i liked Voki better than Blabberize. I would use Voki again because i found it to have more options and it was way more easier and efficent i guess. You could use these to tell people about yourself or if there is a substitute teacher your teacher could use one to tell you what you need to do in that class that day.

Verizon and Redbox team up to overcome Netflix!

In the news article i read about technology is that Verizon and red box are going to be teaming up to try and overcome Netflix and get more customers. They said that you will be able to stream movies and shows like Netflix and it wont just be available to Verizon customers it will be available to anybody. They said that the company isn't   going to share any details yet but  they would tell us the basics which is that they were planning to start this new business and that pretty much it.

Online Safety Wrap Up!

What i think is the most important aspects to use while online is to number one never give out any of your personal information! Along with that never talk to anyone who you do not know. If you use a social network or anything like that make sure you change all the privacy settings on it and make your passwords something that is hard for anyone to guess and never tell anyone what it is. What you should do on the internet is use COMMON SENSE and do not go on any websites that are not appropriate or anything like that and if it happens by accident always tell your parents or a trusted adult.Some dangers of using the internet is that there are creeps on there that are going for kids and teens so you need to watch out for them. To protect yourself from that just basically do all of the above. Also remember to use proper netiquette so that you have no problems with other users of the internet.Always be alert for identity theft even though you may not use credit right now you can still get your social security stolen or your DOB so keep a look out for that and like i said don't give out any personal stuff!

The information that Teresa gave out was her telephone number, the time of day she would most likely be home and her email address.We also know the name of her brother and we also found out that her full name was Teresa Doe. we also found out what the full names of her mother brother and father are. Along with that we know when her mom gets home from work and what her home address is and the specific directions to her house along with what schools are closest to her house. Yes i have put out personal information online because on Facebook if you have it for mobile you cell phone number gets put on there along with your email. I also have my full name on some sites. I think the most important thing to remember when on the internet is to never give talk to anyone you do not know online. The other video that i watched was called broken friendship what it was about was these 2 girls were best friends and they shared they're email account passwords witth each other and one day the one friend went off and told some popular girls the password to her friends email. After they got the password they went online and photo shopped her face onto an inappropriate picture and sent it to all the senior guys. After that everyone looked at her in the halls and she no longer had any friends and she said that she wishes she could just disappear.
